The legendary trajectory of Pascal Marchand continues to reverberate in the glasses. And now more intensely, by bringing biodynamics to the making of low-intervention wines, in his domaine Marchand-Tawse. Pascal was at the helm of two of Burgundy's most acclaimed biodynamic domaines, the Comte Armand in Pommard, and another star of our portfolio, the Domaine de La Vougeraie in Vougeot. He has accumulated a prodigious experience in the terroirs of the Côte d’Or, and in association with Moray Tawse, they produce wines of stupendous quality, which express their origins with airy lightness and “goût de terroir”.
Wine:
The plot “Les Crais" is characterized by a high proportion of limestone. "Jouise" and "Murots" by a brown calcareous soil, well drained, slightly exposed to the east. "Les Seuvrées", mostly limestone soils with a good proportion of calcareous loam. Pinot Noir with 20% stems and 16 months in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new. All viticulture and winemaking guided by the lunar/biodynamic calendar.
