Producer:
The legendary trajectory of Pascal Marchand continues to reverberate in the glasses. And now more intensely, by bringing biodynamics to the making of low-intervention wines, in his domaine Marchand-Tawse. Pascal was at the helm of two of Burgundy's most acclaimed biodynamic domaines, the Comte Armand in Pommard, and another star of our portfolio, the Domaine de La Vougeraie in Vougeot. He has accumulated a prodigious experience in the terroirs of the Côte d’Or, and in association with Moray Tawse, they produce wines of stupendous quality, which express their origins with airy lightness and “goût de terroir”.
Wine:
The Premier Cru Champeaux has east exposure turning to the north, where we find the mother rock almost exposed on the hill that has a lot of stony stone and a mixture of red and brown earth. The hands that touch the beautiful wines of Domaine Tawse always value delicacy and this example is no different. The red fruit is juicy and the wine already shows more complex telluric and leather touches. The tannins are a real silk. Perfect for viewing today.
