The legendary trajectory of Pascal Marchand continues to reverberate in the glasses. And now more intensely, by bringing biodynamics to the making of low-intervention wines, in his domaine Marchand-Tawse. Pascal was at the helm of two of Burgundy's most acclaimed biodynamic domaines, the Comte Armand in Pommard, and another star of our portfolio, the Domaine de La Vougeraie in Vougeot. He has accumulated a prodigious experience in the terroirs of the Côte d’Or, and in association with Moray Tawse, they produce wines of stupendous quality, which express their origins with airy lightness and “goût de terroir”.
The underlying brown/red soils with a high proportion of clay are covered with a thick layer of stones, which is reflected by the name of the vineyard which comes from the word "pierres" , stones. This soil produces wines of great freshness and minerality. Pinot Noir 100% destemmed and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels from the Jupuilles forest.
