Producer:
The mention of minerality and salinity has almost become commonplace in the world of wine. However, at this Chablis estate, these concepts are revitalized, energized and enhanced to their maximum expression through the intellectual interpretation of the new generation of brothers at the helm of the Roland Lavantureux domaine. Among the many secrets that define their success, the estate’s old vines stand out for their astonishing ability to transform the challenges of recent hot years into freshness and liquid terroir.
Wine:
Vauprin is one of the highest terroirs in the region, on an extremely steep hill and soils from the Barremian, a period younger than the Kimeridian, with marine fossils. Internship in 50% in barrels aged 2 to 5 years and 50% in stainless steel.
A Chablis with a dramatic factor, a “wow” with every sip. Brothers Arnaud and David chose the Vauprin parcel of their entry-level Chablis because of the strong character and personality of this incredible cuvée. This is one of the highest terroirs in the region, on an extremely steep hill and soils from the Barremian period, a period younger than the Kimeridian, but with the same content of marine fossils. A vertical Chardonnay, with lots of drive, life, and electricity. The DNA of its soil is stamped on every milligram.
