Description
Materramenta Verdelho Pico D.O. 2023 is a high-precision, minimal-intervention white wine from the iconic “curraletas” of Pico Island — one of Europe’s most extraordinary terroirs. Produced exclusively from Verdelho grapes planted in black lava soils, this wine delivers a distinctly Atlantic, mineral and vibrant profile.

This is a project born of passion and cultural revival, created by Luís Vasco and Madalena, with the talent of winemaker Constantino Ramos. It brings back the winemaking traditions of the Azores and expresses the unique character of these islands.

A limited edition already standing out as one of the purest and most authentic expressions of the D.O. Pico.

Tasting Notes
Bright citrus colour. The nose offers aromas of lime, wet stone, seaweed and orange blossom. The palate is dry, tense and vibrant, with marked acidity and a striking Atlantic minerality. Medium body with a long, pure finish — a raw and elegant expression of Pico Island.
