Materramenta Verdelho and Arinto dos Açores Biscoitos D.O. 2023 is born from one of Portugal’s rarest appellations — the legendary D.O. Biscoitos, on Terceira Island, Azores. An Atlantic and profoundly mineral white, made from 60% Verdelho and 40% Arinto dos Açores, grown in black volcanic soils just metres from the sea.

This first release from the Materramenta project already stands among the great terroir wines of the Azores. Its purity, freshness and raw expression of soil and sea make it a reference point for those seeking authenticity, elegance and minerality.

Tasting Notes
Intense aromas of sea salt, lime peel, wet stone and a subtle note of seaweed. On the palate, it shows vibrant acidity and marked salinity, with a tense, dry and lingering finish. A genuine and elegant expression of the Azorean terroir.
