Producer
Portalegre is one of the most promising wine regions in Portugal, not only within the Alentejo. The Fino family were pioneers here, first associated with the iconic Tapada do Chaves estate, and after its sale in 1998, with Monte da Penha, planted in the 1980s on beautiful vineyards along the slopes of the Serra de São Mamede. These granite-based soils, between 400 and 550 metres altitude, produce wines that age superbly — and the estate’s collection of older vintages tells the story and geography of this extraordinary region. Since 2020, winemaking has been led by the talented Susana Esteban.

This wine is a tribute to the life and legacy of Verónica Beja Fino — woman, mother, artist, friend, and co-founder of Monte da Penha. With her generous spirit, contagious joy and creative talent, Verónica was the heart of both the family and the project. This white reflects her grace and sweetness with moving elegance and delicacy.

Vinification and Ageing
Carefully crafted in stainless steel, preserving the fruit’s purity and the natural minerality of the high-altitude terroir. Fermented at low temperatures, with no malolactic fermentation, to maintain crisp acidity and freshness. A short period of ageing on fine lees.
