Upon her return to Portugal after years of study and experience abroad, including a bachelor’s degree from the “Harvard of viticulture and oenology”, the University of Adelaide, and internships with spectacular producers in Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Stéphane Ogier in Côte-Rotie, the “Anna of the world” decided to reveal a new and incredible Alentejo. From her admirable trials, which range from 700 metres above sea level in the Serra de São Mamede to the sea level of her vineyards on the Alentejo Coast, the refinement, precision and freshness reverberate with contagious energy. The exploration of the terroir, organic cultivation and unique care with viticulture give life to extremely vertical wines full of “drama factor”.

Wine:
A wine that expresses the family's terroirs in harmony: the meeting of the fresh Vila Nova de Milfontes with the generous sun of Vidigueira.

Alvarinho, Sauvignon Blanc and Moscatel are grown on the cool sands of the Atlantic coast. Viognier comes from the inland vineyards of Vidigueira. Harvesting is done manually and always at night.

The wines ferment spontaneously with wild yeasts, in a low-intervention philosophy also in the cellar. The aging takes place for 18 months in stainless steel tanks, with fine lees.

"
bright and lemony with lots of intensity, showing a chalky character under the powerful citrus fruit. Lovely wine. 94/100"

"Deep and complex aroma from the diversity of varieties – they all seem to contribute but none seem to dominate. There's a light herbal note, which gives place to ripe pears, and a spicy complexity that I think is also to do with the skin contact. Moscatel and Viognier add their perfume but only subtly in a touch of orange blossom. Outstanding first impression on the palate, too: extremely high acidity balanced by complex aromas and flavors and firm but not overly tannic texture because it is rounded out on the finish. Powerful, many layered. Terrific intensity and length and a long mouth-watering finish. So much presence for a wine of 12%.
