Description
Damijan Malvasia 2018 is a profound, skin-contact interpretation of Malvasia Istriana, grown on the iconic Ponca (Opoka) soils of Friuli. Crafted without additives, its long maceration in large oak vessels and patient aging offer a deep, textural and mineral-driven wine, rooted in tradition and expressive of place.
On the nose, it opens slowly — almost shy at first — before revealing layers of fresh herbs, green bell pepper, tomato leaf and soft spice. The palate is broad yet refined, with a saline core and vibrant tension that stretches into a persistent, nuanced finish. A meditative orange wine, both cerebral and delicious.
