Domaine Pierrick Bouley Bourgogne Pinot Noir Côte d'Or 2022
Côte d'Or — Burgundy, France
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Producer
Volnay delivers ethereal elegance in its wines — built on finesse and delicate fruit (the “Chambolle-Musigny of the south”). Since we are always searching for wines in this style at accessible prices (still), there is no better choice than another specialist grower with deep local roots — especially since our d'Angerville bottlings are always sold out.
Pierrick Bouley, sixth-generation vigneron, works biodynamically with vines averaging 60 years of age, proudly proclaiming: “I am a vigneron before an oenologist.” No additions or manipulations in his winemaking — no sulfites added until bottling.

Description
A true author-driven Pinot Noir: Pierrick Bouley’s Bourgogne Pinot Noir Côte d'Or 2022 reflects his remarkable talent in interpreting the terroirs at the foot of the Volnay slopes. Sourced from three plots — Long Bois, Petit Pré, and Croc Martin — on fine clay-limestone soils with south/southeast exposure, this wine offers rare precision, delicacy, and depth.
Since 2016, Bouley vinifies without adding SO₂ at the start of fermentation, focusing on aromatic purity and freshness. Spontaneous fermentation is followed by 12 months’ ageing in oak barrels, resulting in a refined and seductive red.
Ideal for lovers of elegant, gastronomic Pinot Noir, this Bourgogne drinks with the sophistication of a Côte de Beaune village-level wine.
