Description
Marjan Simcic, one of the leading figures in Brda and a true pioneer of Slovenia’s natural wine movement, crafts a Pinot Grigio of rare depth and integrity. Sourced from vineyards straddling both sides of the Slovenian-Italian border, this wine is a testament to the flysch-rich soils (Opoka) and the meeting point of Alpine and Mediterranean climates.
A short 48-hour skin maceration gives this traditionally light grape surprising complexity, subtle hue, and textural depth. The nose reveals white flowers, ripe apple, gentle spice and a saline undertone. On the palate, it is vibrant and layered, with a creamy texture from extended lees aging, and a dry, mineral finish that reflects its origin.
A compelling Pinot Grigio for those seeking purity, place, and personality.
