Moreish Palhete 2024

Field Blend from the 1930s–1950s, Beira Interior
Without Designation of Origin | Certified Organic

Description

Moreish Palhete 2024 is a celebration of friendship and memory. Produced in collaboration between Luís Lopes and Ricardo Pinto, this wine comes from old vineyard parcels planted between 1930 and 1952 in Beira Interior, near the northern border of Serra da Estrela, at approximately 700 metres altitude, on sandy granite soils.

It is a true field blend wine, honouring the traditions of forgotten generations of farmers who continue to endure in Portugal’s interior. A unique expression of red, white and rosé grape varieties, harvested and fermented together in a natural and respectful way.

The result is a vibrant palhete — light yet texturally complex — with alpine freshness, red fruit notes, wild herbs, a subtle salty touch and a persistent finish that invites the next sip.
