Nua e Crua
Bairrada, Portugal – Biodynamic Rosé Sparkling Wine
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Description
This biodynamically produced sparkling wine is made primarily from Baga, a native Portuguese grape known for its vibrant acidity and aromatic profile. To add extra complexity, a small proportion of a super-acidic local white grape from Bairrada is included.
Unlike a pét-nat, this sparkling wine undergoes two distinct fermentations using the traditional method. After the second fermentation in bottle, the wine rests on its lees for 16 months, allowing greater depth and complexity to develop. Unlike most sparkling wines, Nua & Crua is not disgorged, meaning the lees remain in the bottle, providing a unique and authentic tasting experience that captures the true essence of the wine.
“Nua e Crua” is more than just a name — it’s a statement of style: living wines, unadorned, expressing terroir, vintage, and climate with absolute honesty.

Tasting Notes
Vibrant rosé colour with salmon hues. On the nose, wild strawberry, fresh raspberry, hibiscus flower and a light hint of brioche. On the palate, dry, lively and textured, with fine bubbles, firm acidity and a fresh, lightly saline finish.
