Description

Damijan Rosso Prelit 2018 is a soulful and uncompromising red wine, forged from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the stony Ponca (Opoka) soils of Friuli. This unique terroir, a blend of marl and sandstone, brings clarity, depth and freshness to the wine’s natural structure.

With extended maceration and long aging in large oak casks, Prelit is a wine of patience and precision. In the glass, it unfurls with notes of blackberries, dried cherries, black tea, and dried herbs, wrapped in a velvety texture. The generous fruit of Merlot harmonizes with the chiselled tannins of Cabernet, delivering a long, graceful, mineral-laced finish. A red that transcends styles, grounded in its place and true to its maker’s vision.
