Domaine de la Commaraine Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru 'Aux Bousselots' 2022
Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru AOC – Burgundy, France

Description
There is something special about tasting a Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru with this level of detail and energy. Even more so when it comes from the historic Domaine de la Commaraine — a property with deep roots in the Côte de Nuits, now revitalised with vision, precision and respect for the land.
‘Aux Bousselots’ 2022 impresses from first glance: deep colour, vibrant aromas, and a texture that combines power with finesse. Jasper Morris MW captured this spirit perfectly in his note, awarding 91–94 points and praising its outstanding balance and vivid red fruit — already shining, even as a wine destined for cellaring.
91–94 pts – Jasper Morris MW (Oct 2023)
“Another hugely intense colour. This is powerful too but just a little bit better balanced than the Chambolle, with some red fruit energy. Indeed, this develops a really impressive amount of powerful but harmonious fruit, more red than black, at ease with its oak and with good length. Drink from 2029–2036.”

Terroir & Winemaking
The ‘Aux Bousselots’ parcel sits on the northern border of Nuits-Saint-Georges, near Vosne-Romanée, which lends it a particular elegance within the typically firm style of the appellation. Soils here are slightly sandy over classic fine-textured clay-limestone. The 2022 vintage — sunny yet balanced — brought out the best of this tension between muscle and finesse.
Modern in style yet rooted in classic Burgundy, this Pinot Noir surprises with its restrained power, freshness and precision. It breathes terroir, with layers that unfold slowly — and promises beautiful ageing well into the next decade.

Tasting Notes
Deep colour. Vivid aromas of red berries, subtle spice and floral hints. On the palate, fresh and layered with fine tannins and a long, harmonious finish. A wine with both power and finesse — a Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru of great precision and character.
