Ramisco Non-Vintage
100% Ramisco · Certified Organic · Vinho Regional de Lisboa
Tasting Notes
The first Ramisco ever produced at Quinta de Sant’Ana is a Non-Vintage blend of three harvests — 2018, 2019 and 2021 — capturing the essence of this rare and emblematic grape of the Lisbon region.
It shows intense red fruit, aromas of wet earth and a seductive herbal note.
The naturally high acidity and firm tannins are balanced by a vibrant salinity, resulting in a red wine of great character, tension and authenticity.
Ageing
• 2018 and 2019 aged in used French oak barrels until February 2022
• These were then blended with the 2021 lot, which was aged exclusively in stainless steel
• The final blend rested a further 18 months in stainless steel before bottling
Viticulture & Winemaking
Hand-harvested into 20 kg crates.
Approximately 70% destemmed, with the remainder fermented as whole clusters.
Spontaneous fermentation in open lagares, with cold maceration and frequent foot treading.
Indigenous yeasts and minimal intervention define the style of this wine.
