André Robert Collection d’Auteur Grand Cru 2012

Le Mesnil-sur-Oger is the sacred “grand cru” of Chardonnay, birthplace of Salon, Krug Clos du Mesnil and Les Chétillons de Pierre Péters, where the variety reveals its most inflexible mineral calcareous expression , elegant, profound and austere. The Robert family, now in the fifth generation represented by Claire Robert, cultivates 14 hectares of vineyards with total respect for the environment, 6.5 of which are right in Mesnil, next to the headquarters of the charming winery. The very low dosage, the malolactic blockage and the meticulous use of wood in all the cuvées dictate the style of this precious and traditional “grower” mesnilois.
