Ar.Pe.Pe. is the acronym of the founder, Arturo Pelizzatti Perego, of this Valtellina winery jewel, nestled between the Rhaetian and Orobie Alps, one of the most beautiful and dramatic regions in the world, in northern Lombardy. Heroic viticulture has in fact been practiced on very steep granite terraces since the Romans. The fourth generation of the family, the inspired siblings Isabella, Emanuele and Guido, reveals how sensational a great mountain Nebbiolo can be, endowed with pristine purity, supreme elegance, complexity of tertiary aromas, freshness and mineral sap.
Sant'Antonio is a vineyard located at an altitude of 450/500 meters, facing south. The name derives from the ancient church located in the highest part of the small municipality of Montagna, looking towards the Grumello sub-zone. In the cellar, it was macerated for 85 days in 50 hl chestnut barrels and vats, the same containers in which it matured for almost 5 years, plus a brief period in stainless steel and aging in the bottle.
