One of the most sublime family “domaines” of all times lives in silence in Piedmont and its gigantic value still goes unnoticed by even the greatest “connoisseurs”. Established in 1928 in the heart of Castiglione Falletto, the famous cradle of contained strength, where intensity is expressed without weight and the elegance of its wines hovers in eternity. With the care of the Cavallotto family, these timeless classics represent the blessed lands of Piedmont in the most traditional, respectful and trustworthy way. In the words of celebrated critic Antonio Galloni: “Cavallotto may well be the greatest Barolo producer few people have ever heard of.”
Vigna Scot is located between Bricco Boschis and Monprivato. 2.96 ha of Dolcetto 100% planted in 1979, at 315m. It ferments with indigenous yeasts and macerates in botti from Slavonia with 'cappello semisommerso' for 3-4 days, remaining 6-8 months in botti, in a super traditional way.
