One of the most sublime family-owned domaines of all time lives quietly in Piedmont, its enormous value still going unnoticed even by the greatest connoisseurs. Established in 1928 in the heart of Castiglione Falletto, the famous cradle of restrained strength, where intensity is expressed without weight and the elegance of its wines soars into eternity. With the care of the Cavallotto family, these timeless classics represent the blessed lands of Piedmont in the most traditional, respectful and faithful way. In the words of the famous critic Antonio Galloni: “Cavallotto may well be the greatest producer of Barolo that few people have ever heard of.”
Wine:
Vigna Scot lies between the hill Bricco Boschis and Monprivato. 2.96 ha of Dolcetto 100% planted in 1979, at 315m. It ferments with indigenous yeasts and macerates in botti from Slavonia with 'cappello semisommerso' for 3-4 days, remaining 6-8 months in botti, in a super traditional way.
