Coessens Largillier Rosé de Saignée

- We send it to the whole of Europe
The maxim that “the best wines are born in the vineyard” is inexorable, and it was no coincidence that Largillier, Jérôme Coessens’ iconic vineyard, was chosen to feed one of the most sought-after “cult wines” in the world, Guillaume Selosse’s Champagne. Our Coessens is a small grower from the Côte des Bar, in the south of Champagne, exclusively dedicated to Pinot Noir planted in Largillier, where the family has been around for more than 5 generations, and which shares the same limestone soil profile from the Kimmeridgian period found in the best grand crus of Chablis.

Description
A rare rosé, produced only in harvests with perfect phenolic ripeness and grapes in impeccable health. Coming exclusively from the “Largillier” monopole, more precisely from the “Matière” subplot, this Rosé de Saignée is made with grapes carefully crushed by foot, following the ancestral method that favours contact between the skins and the must to extract aroma, colour and structure.
The result is a Champagne of great expression, with notes of small red fruits, raspberry liqueur and a final nuance of cherry stone. On the palate, the texture is broad and enveloping (thanks to the clays of the KM2 soil), with a striking mineral freshness and a long finish provided by the presence of limestone.
