Palhete Vol. 3 – Natural RedISH Wine | Alentejo


DESCRIPTION

Born from a creative collaboration between three friends — Anna Jørgensen, Daniel and Kalina Niepoort — this Palhete embraces the NatCool philosophy with an Alentejo soul.
Made from Syrah and Viognier, it is a vibrant reinterpretation of the ancestral “palhete” tradition, where red and white grapes ferment together, just as they once did in old mixed vineyards.

Fermented in clay amphora (talha) and bottled unfiltered, it delivers a raw and vivid expression of Vidigueira’s terroir.
Fresh cherry and raspberry aromas mingle with subtle herbal notes and electric acidity.
Light, expressive and incredibly energetic.


GRAPES & VINEYARD

Grapes: 60% Syrah, 40% Viognier
Location: Estate vineyards in Vidigueira
Soils: Sandy, loamy and limestone-rich
Farming: Certified organic, with biodynamic and regenerative practices
Harvest: Manual, night picking


WINEMAKING & AGEING

Fermentation: Viognier juice with whole-cluster Syrah in clay amphora
Maceration: One-week gentle infusion, followed by light pressing
Ageing: Stainless steel through winter
Bottling: April 2025, unfiltered, with minimal sulphites
