In the prestigious area of ​​Cambeses, in Monção, the Covas cousins ​​carry forward the tradition of generations in the elaboration of classic Vinho Verde wines, focused above all on the great expression of the Alvarinho variety. The whim and attention to detail of this small family business permeates every decision in the vineyard, in the cellar and in the impeccable presentation of its wines and sparkling wines. Production is extremely limited, approximately 15,000 bottles/year, defended with passion and knowledge by Sara and Pedro, and now by Temple Wines' pioneering team of terroir wines!

The world's first Alvarinho vinegar!

Cortinha Velha matured vinegar is made from Alvarinho wine, specially vinified to make it blunt, in second-use oak barrels. The barrels are adapted to allow correct aeration and an optimal temperature so that the yeasts can transform the alcohol in the wine into acetic acid. The whole process is handmade and natural. The wine is kept for several months in wooden barrels.
