Producer
Damijan Podversič is a true vigneron, following with passionate dedication and unwavering attention the rhythms and signals of nature to extract from his magnificent 11 hectares in Collio Goriziano grapes with perfect skin and seed ripeness — not just pulp, as he likes to emphasise. His innate genius placed him at the pinnacle of the "orange wine" movement in Friuli/Slovenia, with a very sui generis style. Now joined by his equally inspired daughter Tamara, the Podversič family crafts wines that make one dream and believe the future of winemaking lies in a return to its past.

Wine
One of the most iconic "orange wines" from Friuli, Kaplja is a symphony of three varieties: Chardonnay, Friulano and Malvasia Istriana, grown on Ponca-Opoka soils on the slopes of Gorizia. A disciple of Josko Gravner, Damijan Podversič crafts this wine through long skin maceration and extended ageing, resulting in a white of singular structure, depth, and soul.
