With a recent history, it has gained enormous importance in the world of collectible wines, achieving stratospheric ratings in guides and being considered a promising wine of Burgundy. Respect for the terroir is demonstrated by biodynamics, which has been practiced for over 20 years, since the era of Pascal Marchand, succeeded by Pierre Vincent (now Domaine Leflaive) who produced more ethereal wines, with delicacy and purity of fruit, as maintained by Sylvie Poillot. The Domaine's arsenal of vineyards is impressive. A highlight is the Clos Blanc de Vougeot, considered by Jasper Morris MW to be the best white wine of the Côte de Nuits.
Les Petits Noizons is located 300 meters away, next to Beaune in the Pommard AOC. Excellent sun exposure and heat retention, with immensely stony and limestone soils.
16 months in French oak, only 26% new, from Cîteaux. Only 2176 bottles made.
