Domaine du Pélican 'Béranger' Trousseau 2022
Montigny-les-Arsures — Jura, France
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Producer
When Domaine Marquis d’Angerville chose to expand beyond the Côte d’Or, it was a sign that something extraordinary was taking shape. The creation of Domaine du Pélican in the Jura took four years of meticulous research, with Yves Herody — the geologist who mapped d’Angerville’s Burgundy vineyards — unearthing the region’s most prized plots, including those of Jacques Puffeney. When Jura and Burgundy merge, each bottle radiates energy, emotion, and refinement.

Description
Montigny-les-Arsures is regarded as the birthplace of the Trousseau grape, and this wine fully honors that heritage. Domaine du Pélican — one of Jura’s most respected estates — carries forward the legacy of Jacques Puffeney, the region’s master of Jura reds, whose vineyards were entrusted to the domaine.
The 'Béranger' Trousseau 2022 comes from a single vineyard parcel over 50 years old, planted on alluvial soils and silt over grey marl — a combination that enhances the grape’s finest and most aromatic expression. Vinified with precision and aged in used 228L and 350L barrels, this Trousseau is all about delicacy and elegance.
The result is a wine of great purity, vibrant red fruit, light yet energetic texture, and unmistakable mineral character. A refined example of Jura Trousseau, ideal for lovers of fresh, terroir-driven, low-intervention wines.
