If Domaine Marquis d'Angerville has considered expanding beyond the Côte d'Or, it's because something very special is about to happen. The creation of Domaine du Pélican in the Jura took four years of work until Yves Herody, the geologist responsible for mapping the soils of d'Angerville in Burgundy, found the most precious things in the region - including vines from Jacques Puffeney. When Jura and Burgundy merge, an immense charge of energy, emotion and refinement is unleashed with every bottle opened.
Montigny-les-Arsures is considered the birthplace of the caste Trousseau, and this wine fully honors that heritage. Domaine du Pélican — one of the most respected projects in the Jura — has taken on the responsibility of continuing the legacy of Jacques Puffeney, undisputed master of Jurassian reds, who passed his vineyards to the domaine.
THE 'Béranger' Trousseau 2022 born from a single plot over 50 years old, planted in soils of alluvium and silt on gray marl, a combination that favors the finest and most aromatic expression of the variety. This red wine is vinified with elegance and precision, and aged in used 228L and 350L barrels, respecting the delicate profile of Trousseau.
The result is a wine of enormous purity, with vivid red fruit, a light and vibrant texture, and a mineral signature that makes it unmistakable. A sophisticated example of Jura Trousseau, ideal for lovers of terroir wines, fresh and with minimal intervention.
