Domaine Louis Claude Desvignes Morgon Javernières Aux Pierres 2021

This unmissable Villié-Morgon estate has just been awarded the maximum 3 stars by the La Revue du Vin de France guide, placing it at the pinnacle of the country’s best wine producers, after 8 generations of work by the Desvignes family. The inspired brotherly duo Claude-Emmanuelle and Louis-Benoît, from organic farming on the vines, seek a refined sense of aesthetics in the expression of each “lieu-dit” of Morgon. The purity of the fruit, minerality and ageing capacity of their wines is incredible, all vinified in concrete with stems, in the old Beaujolais style.

Wine:
Very old vineyards, a mere 0.57 ha and over 90 years old, in clay, schist, pyrite and eruptive rocks. Traditional winemaking using 100% stems. Aged for 10 months in concrete vats.
