Alexandrine Roy brought a new shine to her tiny family domaine in 2003, when she took over the full production journey, from vine to wine, and with her perfectionist ambition dramatically raised quality already existing. Of stunning weightless concentration, intrinsically derived from superlative old vines over 100 years old from the best terroirs of Gevrey-Chambertin, Alexandrine wines strike at first contact due to their fluid integration between the male and female sides, reverberating in their infinite and complex mouth length.
This is the only wine made by Alexandrine outside Gevrey and with the Chardonnay variety. In Marsannay, these old vines, more than 40 years old, are positioned at the highest point of the AOC, at more than 350 meters, where they establish their roots in pure limestone (only 10 centimeters of soil). It ferments with wild yeasts, does not undergo malolactic fermentation and ages in barrels, 20% of which are new.
