Domaine Pavelot Pernand-Vergelesses Rouge 2023

It is only a matter of time before Domaine Pavelot, a family-owned and artisanal winery, starts gaining recognition among Burgundy connoisseurs. The seventh generation, Luc and Lise, are responsible for the evolution of this impressive domaine in Pernand-Vergelesses, which produces both whites and reds with equal ability to move us. Their pursuit of excellence was also nurtured by experiences outside Burgundy: Luc worked in California at Navarro Vineyards, and Lise at the prestigious Domaine Dagueneau in the Loire.

Wine:

The Domaine Pavelot Pernand-Vergelesses Rouge 2023 is an elegant and authentic red wine from Burgundy, made from Pinot Noir grapes sourced from vines over 25 years old, cultivated on 1.92 hectares of clay-limestone slopes. The harvest is done by hand, followed by fermentation in concrete tanks using indigenous yeasts, and élevage for 10 months in French oak barrels (15% new), finishing with 6 months in stainless steel. Certified Organic (AB Agriculture Biologique), this wine expresses purity, freshness, and finesse—typical characteristics of Pernand-Vergelesses.
