Producer:
The mention of minerality and salinity has almost become commonplace in the world of wine. However, at this Chablis estate, these concepts are revitalized, energized and enhanced to their maximum expression through the intellectual interpretation of the new generation of brothers at the helm of the Roland Lavantureux domaine. Among the many secrets that define their success, the estate’s old vines stand out for their astonishing ability to transform the challenges of recent hot years into freshness and liquid terroir.
Wine:
Lemon custard, a floral in the Puligny style, but with the iodine of Chablis, even palatable, like fleur de sel. Intellectual texture, wood imperceptible in the aromas.
Score: Vinous 90
"The 2022 Chablis Village is aged 25% in barrel and 75% in stainless steel. It has a more austere but refreshingly energetic bouquet with green apple and fresh lime aromas. The palate is well-balanced, with a subtle reduction and good depth for its class. The 2022 has a taut line of acidity with hints of walnut and chai on the finish. It is a well-crafted Chablis Village that will age in bottle"
