Rubens Menin is one of the greatest entrepreneurs in the history of Brazil, and together with his partner Cristiano Gomes, they arrived in the Douro to build a new legacy of excellence. They bought two spectacular farms on the banks of the river, next to Crasto, and also Horta Osório in Baixo Corgo. They are inaugurating one of the most modern wineries in the country and have the brilliant oenology of Tiago Alves de Sousa to deliver the new Douro classics.
Wine:
An amazing 100+ year old vine makes up more than half of this glorious wine, complemented by 40% Touriga Franca aged 45 years. Fermentation took place in stainless steel with completely destemmed grapes. The stage took place in 225l oak barrels for 18 months.
