Description
Described by Bastianich & Lynch in Vino Italiano as a producer that chooses “refinement and balance over bombast”, Fèlsina is a reference point for traditional Sangiovese in Tuscany. Since the early 1980s, under the guidance of former classics professor Giuseppe Mazzocolin and iconic winemaker Franco Bernabei, the estate has remained steadfast in its dedication to native grapes and terroir-driven expressions.
The Chianti Classico Berardenga 2021 is the perfect gateway to this ethos — an authentic and structured Sangiovese, sourced from the sun-drenched hills of Castelnuovo Berardenga, the southernmost and warmest zone of the appellation.
The nose shows vivid red cherry, black tea, dried herbs and earthy notes. On the palate, it is vibrant and firm, with taut tannins and refreshing acidity — a wine that combines approachability with age-worthy backbone.
