In all of Rioja, a region brimming with history and tradition, only 16 century-old wineries still exist, and Gómez Cruzado is one of them, with its roots in 1886, the year of its foundation. The classic bodega Gómez Cruzado is located in the heart of Haro, and among the biggest traditional names in the region, it stands out for its significantly smaller size. The extra care of an artisanal winery is carried out daily to keep its tradition of more than 130 years pulsating in the winery's veins.
Wine:
Indigenous varieties only: 70% Viura, 25% white Tempranillo and 5% white Garnacha, from vineyards located in the area around Haro (calcareous soils) and in Alto Najerilla ( clay-ferrous soils). Usually old vines located in the higher areas. Aged for 5 months in French oak barrels (not toasted, steamed) with its fine lees and the rest is also aged on its fine lees in a concrete tank.
