Rubens Menin is one of the greatest entrepreneurs in the history of Brazil, and together with his partner Cristiano Gomes, they arrived in the Douro to build a new legacy of excellence. They bought two spectacular estates on the banks of the river, next to Crasto, and also Horta Osório in Baixo Corgo. They are opening one of the most modern wineries in the country and are counting on the brilliant oenology of Tiago Alves de Sousa to deliver new Douro classics.
Wine:
It is the result of a rigorous selection of barrels from different plots of Vinhas Velhas, with a special emphasis on the “Travessas” plot. With an east/south exposure, the vineyard is located on schist soil at an approximate elevation of 350m.
