Originally from Burgundy, where he worked from Beaune to Nuits-Saint-Georges, he forged strong ties with the legendary Christophe Roumier before moving on to California and New Zealand. Upon his return, Julien secured the best-positioned old vines on 9 hectares located on the highest hills of three of the most prestigious Beaujolais crus: Morgon, Fleurie and Régnié. The land is worked organically and the focus is on expressing the granite profile of his vines in an elegant, almost ethereal way, with a delicate weave of tannins. Beaujolais with a 'Chambollic' soul!

"Julien Sunier established his own small domaine in 2008 after a period working with Christophe Roumier in Chambolle-Musigny, and he has quickly emerged as one of the region's rising stars. Committed to organic farming from the start, full fermentation in cement vats at low temperature, followed by élevage in used Burgundy barrels, are the hallmarks of his winemaking.  fundamentals of his approach. The style is delicate, elegant and fragrant, emphasizing grace and charm."  William Kelley - Robert Parker

Situated at the foot of the Côte du Py hill, on the edge of the Morgon appellation, this 1.1-hectare plot is known as 'En Oeillat' and its vines are over 60 years old. The soil is very sandy pink granite. This Gamay is aged 20% in cement tanks and 80% in neutral French barrels. Magnum bottle.

Points: 91 Vinous:
"tertiary aromas with touches of pressed flowers and a touch of wild mint. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, edgy
and slightly chalky towards the finish that coheres beautifully in the glass."
