The stunning hills of classic Valpolicella produce incredible wines in a variety of styles, from vibrant reds to dramatic, “meditazione” aged wines. No producer in the region has ever achieved the status of Giuseppe Quintarelli, who left us in 2012. His winemaking heir, Luca Fedrigo, worked alongside Bepi for 10 years, in the vineyard and in the cellar, and learned the skills and traditions of Valpolicella from the “maestro”. He founded his artisanal project L'Arco in Negrar, just a few metres from the Quintarelli family, and continues to inspire the greatest “vinaiolo” who has ever lived in these lands.

Wine:
Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara (90% Amarone grapes and 10% Recioto). Luca carefully selected only the best bunches and placed them on plateaus where they dried in the cellar for about 100/120 days. This original wine was created to celebrate the birth of his son Pietro.

Points: 95 Vinous
"The 2012 Pietrus is rich in the glass with an earthy bouquet, showing flowery undergrowth and crushed fall leaves before giving way to macerated black cherries, plum sauce and cinnamon cookies. It washes across the palate, juicy and energetic, with sour berries complemented by exotic spices and sweet herbs. This finishes incredibly long yet fresh: hard candy and licorice hints slowly fade."
