The legendary trajectory of Pascal Marchand continues to reverberate in the glasses. And now more intensely, by bringing biodynamics to the making of low-intervention wines, in his domaine Marchand-Tawse. Pascal was at the helm of two of Burgundy's most acclaimed biodynamic domaines, the Comte Armand in Pommard, and another star of our portfolio, the Domaine de La Vougeraie in Vougeot. He has accumulated a prodigious experience in the terroirs of the Côte d’Or, and in association with Moray Tawse, they produce wines of stupendous quality, which express their origins with airy lightness and “goût de terroir”.
Wine:
35 year old Domaine vines. A well exposed and sheltered vineyard, high on the slope for a village "climat". In the highest part, the soils are stony. The further you go down towards the RN47, the deeper the soils become with a mixture of clay and stones. Pinot Noir with total destemming and 16 months in French oak barrels, 25% new. All viticulture and winemaking guided by the lunar/biodynamic calendar.
