The legendary trajectory of Pascal Marchand continues to reverberate in the glasses. And now more intensely, by bringing biodynamics to the making of low-intervention wines, in his domaine Marchand-Tawse. Pascal was at the helm of two of Burgundy's most acclaimed biodynamic domaines, the Comte Armand in Pommard, and another star of our portfolio, the Domaine de La Vougeraie in Vougeot. He has accumulated a prodigious experience in the terroirs of the Côte d’Or, and in association with Moray Tawse, they produce wines of stupendous quality, which express their origins with airy lightness and “goût de terroir”.
Wine:
Over 70 years old vines from the Domaine in soils named locally as “lava” with a lot of drainage. Half of the cuvee is vinified with stems and aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, only 20% of which are new. All viticulture and winemaking guided by the lunar/biodynamic calendar.
