Barolo DOCG — Piedmont, Italy

Producer
"One of my favourite Barolos. Harmonious, complete, and complex. They do not aim to be ‘modern’ or ‘traditional’, they simply seek to express the terroir."
This is how Pedro Parra — the world’s most respected terroir specialist — perfectly defines the essence of Marco Marengo’s wines.
A former biochemist, Marco was called back by his father, Mario, to take over the family’s tiny winery below their home in La Morra, along with a few prized parcels in some of Barolo’s finest crus. Today, everything is still done by hand by Marco, his wife Jenny, and their son Stefano — to the delight of hardcore Barolo lovers.

Wine
A special Barolo from the commune of La Morra (sourced from Fossati, Roncaglie, Boiolo, and Serradenari).
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing in 225L French oak barrels (15% new wood annually) for 10 months.

Tasting Notes
Highly perfumed and expressive on the nose, revealing delicate layers of cherry, cranberry, and subtle earthiness. On the palate, a refined minerality integrates beautifully with silky tannins. The aromatic profile evolves further with hints of delicate florals — hydrangea and violet.
A Barolo of great charm and finesse, reflecting its La Morra origins.
