Pietradolce Etna Rosato 2022

The slopes of the highest active volcano in Western Europe preserve precious centuries-old vineyards, which have been fought over since the 1990s by stubborn locals and ambitious foreigners for the explosive combination of finesse and minerality of their wines. Few producers, like Michele Faro's Pietradolce, from an old family of farmers from Mount Etna, however, achieve the maximum excellence and distinctive character of this fashionable region. Organic farming, only native varieties from centuries-old vines in the best “contrade”, and precise winemaking inspired by ancient techniques.

Wine:
Nerello Mascalese made in stainless steel.  Transparent rosé, with an ethereal profile that exalts the 'smoky' minerality of its terroir together with pungent salinity. Delicate, but very serious.
