When the esteemed Domaine Marquis d’Angerville chose to expand beyond the Côte d’Or, it was clear that something special was brewing. The creation of Domaine du Pélican in the Jura took four years of dedicated work — with Burgundy’s top geologist, Yves Herody, mapping out the most precious terroirs of the region, including plots formerly owned by the legendary Jacques Puffeney. When Jura and Burgundy converge, each bottle radiates extraordinary energy, emotion and refinement.

Description
A Savagnin of crystalline purity, sourced from two of the Jura’s most revered terroirs: En Barby and Grand Curoulet. Grown on complex soils — Triassic marl of various colours, Bajocian limestone over grey marl, and Lias marl/limestone — this wine delivers a laser-like expression of the most vertical and precise Jura style.
The term “ouillé” indicates that the wine was matured in barrels topped up regularly, preventing the oxidative veil (sous voile) from forming. The result is a sharp, mineral-driven white with vibrant acidity and a pristine, linear palate. More focused and incisive than the domaine’s Chardonnay, this is a wine that resonates across the palate with thrilling energy.
