Description
Featured prominently in The Sommelier’s Atlas of Taste by Rajat Parr, one of the world’s most influential sommeliers, Le Ragnaie is a true gem of Montalcino. Unlike the more opulent, oak-driven styles common in the region, Riccardo Campinoti produces wines of finesse, classicism, and radiant red fruit — and applies the same philosophy to his Bianco Civitella 2020.
This is his interpretation of a skin-contact white wine, crafted from Fiano grown on the hillsides of Tuscany. Fermented spontaneously with native yeasts and without malolactic conversion, it retains natural tension, lifted aromatics and structural definition.
Texturally broad, with a light tannic grip from skin maceration, the wine offers white orchard fruit, herbs, and stony depth. A contemplative white — one that resists categorization and seduces with quiet intensity.
