Sybille Kuntz Riesling Kabinett Trocken 2023
Mosel, Germany
Certified Biodynamic (Biodynamique RESPEKT)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Description

Sybille Kuntz is considered one of the most talented women in wine, consistently crafting true expressions of her land — powerful and mineral — thanks to the glorious combination of Mosel, Riesling, extremely steep slopes and very old, ungrafted vines. To enhance this magnificent terroir, already deemed “grand cru” in the Napoleonic era, Kuntz has farmed organically since 1990, and took a further step in 2016 with full biodynamic certification. From the entry-level Riesling to Spätlese, all her wines are trocken (dry).

"Full screwcapped bottle just 1,194 g. Certified biodynamic.
Bright, pale green-gold. Intense wild-flower aromas, the hallmark of a biodynamic wine? A real spread of flavour on the palate with huge extract for a Kabinett. This is far from a feather-light aperitif; it's a serious wine for the table. Some Mosel purists may seek more obvious acidity in a 2023 at this stage but it's already a delicious wine with pungent lime flavours and a hint of something mineral. Yields must have been very low!
