Étienne Calsac Les Rocheforts 1er Cru

This micro domaine has its roots in Avize, on the Côte des Blancs, the mecca of finesse champagnes, and is where the young Étienne Calsac works organically the vineyards inherited from his grandparents. In addition to practising different terroirs, he practices very long periods "sur lie", works his land with horses, and also surprises with a special rarity called 'Les Revenants', made from the "abandoned grape varieties": Pinot Blanc, Petit Meslier and Arbane. Étienne quickly gained a place on the best wine lists and his champagnes sell out as quickly as they empty once opened.

Wine:
100% Chardonnay from the Vallée de la Marne (Bisseuil) on a plot with chalk outcrops and an eastern exposure. 50% passes through oak barrels and the remainder remains in stainless steel tanks. Use of reserve wines. Extra-brut dosage.
