Pra Lá — Tinto Colheita 2021

Context

Pra Lá Tinto 2021 is born on the slope of the Cortiçadas vineyard in Fornelos, very close to the Serra do Marão. A site of altitude and privileged exposure, where schist soils and an east/south-facing orientation confer freshness, precision, and a strong sense of identity. Production is limited to 1,700 bottles, reflecting an artisanal approach focused on detail.

Terroir

Location: Cortiçadas, Fornelos
Altitude: 400–550 meters
Exposure: East / South
Soil: Schist

These conditions bring together the ideal elements for a medium-bodied red wine, complex and aromatically concentrated, while maintaining balance and tension.

Grape Varieties

Touriga Nacional
Touriga Franca
Tinta Roriz
Tinta Barroca

Viticulture and Vinification

The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified with respect for both the raw material and the place.
The wine is aged for 14 months in used French oak barrels, integrating the wood without masking the varietal profile or the expression of schist.

Tasting Notes

Intense and well-defined aromas of ripe black and red fruit, floral notes, and a pronounced mineral undertone. On the palate, it is balanced and precise, with fine tannins, good acidity, and a persistent, elegant, and harmonious finish.

Pairings

Versatile at the table, it pairs well with:

  • grilled or roasted meats

  • oven-baked dishes

  • traditional Portuguese cuisine

  • medium-aged cheeses
