Description

One of Piedmont’s most sublime and understated domaines, Cavallotto has quietly produced timeless Barolo in Castiglione Falletto since 1928. Revered by insiders, and praised by Antonio Galloni as “possibly the greatest Barolo producer few have ever heard of”, the Cavallotto family honors tradition with unparalleled devotion and grace.

The Dolcetto d’Alba Vigna 'Scot' 2023 is a heartfelt expression of this legacy — grown between the legendary crus of Bricco Boschis and Monprivato. Despite its modest positioning in the hierarchy, this Dolcetto has the soul of a grand wine, shaped by its noble surroundings.

Vinified with indigenous yeasts and gently macerated using the traditional cappello semisommerso method in large oak casks, it reveals pure fruit, soft tannins and vibrant freshness. A Dolcetto of authenticity and sincerity, rooted in the deep traditions of Castiglione Falletto.
