Description

The Colonia 2019 is the most concentrated and rarefied expression of Sangiovese at Fèlsina — a Gran Selezione of great depth, poise and structure. It hails from a tiny, secluded plot atop Poggio a Rancia, surrounded by forest and rooted in intensely rocky soils that deliver minerality, austerity and energy.

This vintage opens with dark cherry, black tea, dried tobacco and wet earth, presenting a bold yet elegant aromatic profile. On the palate, it is dense, muscular and tightly knit, with polished tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, dry, energetic finish. A reference point for Gran Selezione in Tuscany, and a collector’s wine of remarkable presence.
