Clair Obscur Bouillon de Cultures 2022
Vin de France | Burgundy (Corpeau & Mâconnais), France
Volume: 750 ml
────────────────────────────
Description
Pierre Clair is one of the biodynamic masters of Burgundy, with vast experience as “chef de culture” at our Domaine Marquis d’Angerville in Volnay. Together with his wife, they now care for vines inherited from Pierre’s family in their remarkable natural wine project: Clair Obscur.
“Natural” in the purest sense — wines full of life, made with minimal intervention, from lesser-known terroirs that, in the right hands, rival even the grandest crus. The name also plays on the idea that life is never purely black or white... it’s often in the shades of grey that balance is found: Clair Obscur!

Origin & Terroir
This wine is a blend of three Burgundian varieties from clay-limestone soils in Corpeau and limestone soils in the Mâconnais. A true “bouillon de cultures”: a lively mix of terroirs, grape varieties and mindful practices.
