Fragrant, violets crushed with a handmade granite pestle (floral and stone) with a light sun-oil aroma that takes us back to Burgundy. Fresh red fruits pulsate on the palate along with tannins that only give shape to the wine and do not dry it out at all. Full-bodied, dry, savoury. Mee Godard is a rising star in France and around the world, and in just a few years she has already been awarded star of the year by the renowned French magazine "Revue des Vins de France".
“The winemaking is classic: whole bunches are largely retained and macerations last several weeks, with pump-overs and punch-downs adapted vintage after vintage. Maturation follows in concrete, foudre, demi-muids and barrels, depending on the cuvée. The resulting wines are pure, elegantly structured and traditional in style, with the substance to age but also with considerable initial charm.” William Kelley, Robertparker.com

Score: 16.5 points – Jancis Robinson
“A nightingale’s song in red fruit. Delicate and dancing. Tannins like the light scratching of lichens on ancient stone. Pure and modest.” (TC)
THE Beaujolais Villages 2023 of the talented Mee Godard is a fresh and delicate expression of Gamay, made with grapes from the region's typical granite soils. A light, ethereal and immediate wine — with brightness, purity and balance that captivate from the very first glass.
In the glass, it appears colored living ruby and clear aromas of raspberry, currant and violet. In the mouth it is fluid, with fine and discreet tannins, vibrant freshness and a light, almost saline finish. A wine of accessible pleasure, but with surprising identity and finesse.
