Description
L’Échappée Belle is the “entry” cuvée from Étienne Calsac, but it is anything but simple. This is a finely sculpted Blanc de Blancs Champagne, crafted exclusively from Chardonnay sourced across three iconic zones:
– Côte des Blancs for mineral cut
– Côte de Sézanne for ripe citrus
– Vallée de la Marne for gentle roundness
Vinified with wild yeasts, the blend includes 20% aged in oak for texture, and the rest in stainless steel to preserve purity. No fining, no filtration — just the essence of Chardonnay. It offers a lively mousse, notes of white flowers, citrus peel, and a long, saline finish that echoes the chalky soul of Champagne.
This is Calsac’s vision in its most accessible form: precise, vibrant, and seriously drinkable.
