Description

The Premier Cru village of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ holds an almost mythical status in Champagne, home to legendary parcels such as Clos des Goisses. On its steep, chalky hillsides, Jean-Paul Hébrart delivers his own intimate interpretation of the terroir: a style that is creamy, generous and fruit-rich, yet rooted in assertive mineral energy and tension.

The ‘Mes Favorites’ Vieilles Vignes cuvée is a personal tribute to Hébrart’s most cherished old-vine plots in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. Made from 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay, fermented entirely in stainless steel and aged 40 months sur lie, it captures both the structure of old vines and the vibrant character of the terroir.

The nose opens with black cherry, dried flowers, mint and spice. On the palate, it is broad and enveloping, with a creamy texture, vivid acidity and persistent mineral finish. A Champagne of personality, intensity and balance.

93 Points – Vinous
"Rich, creamy and ample in feel, Mes Favorites offers a beguiling mix of old-vine intensity wrapped around a core of bright acids. Kirsch, dried flowers, mint, spice and pear build as this showy, inviting Champagne offers a warm embrace."
